The Wheatland Raiders are getting ready to host the U16AA Hockey Alberta Provincials in Strathmore.

The U16AA Hockey Alberta Provincials will bring together players from Strathmore, Drumheller, Langdon, Chestermere & Siksika First Nation.

"The tournament will feature teams from the four major divisions of the U16AA in the province. One team from Calgary, one team from South Central Alberta, one team from northern rural, and one team from Edmonton," said parent organizer, Derek Hachey.

This event is said to not only showcase the exceptional talent within the U16 hockey circuit but also solidify the Wheatland Raiders' place in the hockey community. With their dedicated players and unwavering community support, the Raiders are well-equipped to make this tournament an unforgettable experience for all involved.

"Everyone is happy and excited to pitch in and get things done and put on this tournament, which is going to be a blast. We're looking to partner with different people in the community. We've already have some sponsors in place and we need just a few more here to help bring that tournament to fruition."

The U16AA Hockey Alberta Provincials are March 21-24 at the Strathmore Family Centre Arena.
