Blu Planet Recycling is being added to the Town of Strathmore waste collections service team. 

In May 2023, The Town of Strathmore issued a Request for Proposal (RFP), receiving submissions from five reputable organizations and after an in-depth and thorough review process, the list of proponents was narrowed down to two finalists before the Council selected BluPlanet Recycling as Strathmore’s new waste and recycling service provider. 

Blu Planet Recycling has over 15 years of experience and has been a local, award-winning waste collection and garbage disposal service provider since 2009.

Disruptions to services aren’t expected as BluPlanet Recycling takes over from the current provider, Waste Management (WM). WM will continue to provide services until the end of the year. 

The first day of pickup from Blu Planet Recycling will happen in January and the transition is not expected to result in a significant change in fees.
