Ryan Schmidt M.A.(Phil) was introduced as the new Cheif Executive Officer for the Strathmore and District Agricultural Society.  Schmidt will be replacing Herb Mclane in the role that seeks to strengthen and advance the ranching and farming culture in Strathmore and area.

Schmidt comes from a background that includes working on Parliment hill as a Director of Policy and a Senior Policy Advisor. 

Schmidt declared. “As the new CEO of the agricultural society, I will prioritize strengthening community ties, while building on past success by inviting a new generation to enter into Strathmore’s proud ranching and farming legacy. I look forward to working with the board and other community groups in serving our town.”

Schmidt owns and operates a farm near Strathmore with his wife Heather, where they raise their family with a passion for agriculture, community service and preserving western and prairie values.
