If you have old, forgotten lotto tickets stashed away in your wallet or drawer, you may want to check them before it's too late.

A LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball Draw ticket worth one million dollars purchased somewhere outside of Calgary and Edmonton is still unclaimed. It will expire soon on March 8, 2024, if no one claims it before then. The numbers drawn were: 29731883-01.

A second LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball Draw worth one million dollars is also unclaimed and will expire on July 22, 2024. The numbers drawn were: 35610918-01.

According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), “DAILY GRAND, LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49, WESTERN 649, WESTERN MAX, POKER LOTTO, EXTRA, KENO, and PICK tickets expire one year from the draw date.”

That means if nobody claims the million-dollar Gold Ball Draw tickets before March 8 and July 22, 2024, they will expire.

Other unclaimed prizes in the province include the following:

  • EXTRA, expiring March 29, 2024, worth $100,000, numbers: 6561523
  • EXTRA, expiring August 15, 2024, worth $100,000, numbers: 5088762

  • LOTTO 6/49, expiring September 2, 2024, worth $175,646.70, numbers: 12, 13, 30, 33, 35, 43, 17

Strathmore residents seem to be lucky when it comes to lotto wins.

In December, Strathmore locals, the McNamées, won $250,000 from the EXTRA draw after purchasing their ticket at a local gas station. Finn Hansen also took home $100,000 after winning the November 7 EXTRA Draw.

Maybe that ticket that you thought was a dud could be worth a million dollars. So, make sure to double-check your numbers before it's too late!
