The Town of Drumheller has decided to regulate short-term rentals to increase safety, promote fair competition in the hospitality industry, protect residential neighborhoods, and ensure housing affordability and availability in the Drumheller Valley.

Some of the changes regarding short-term rentals include requiring short-term rental owners to:

  • Obtain a valid short-term rental business license by completing a business license application.
  • Obtain and maintain adequate Home-Sharing or Short-Term Rental Insurance and provide proof of this insurance during the application process.
  • Read the Town of Drumheller Good Host Guide and agree that you have reviewed and will adhere to all provisions within.
  • Understand the distinct fees for the different types of short-term rental business licenses.
