The Strathmore Musical Arts Society received a significant donation through the Golden West Broadcasting Canadian Content Development (CCD) Grant.

Strathmore's radio station CKMR-FM 104.5 More Country donated $3,360 to the society to continue to support our local music scene and bring great performers to Strathmore.

"We're trying to bring in the best of the best with the money we have, and so anything like this is just a plus. Then we can go one step higher in who we choose for future concerts," Society President Linda Storkson said.

Storkson explains that by supporting live music, you are fostering happiness and joy in many people.

The Musical Arts Society is a non-profit that delivers great music to Strathmore. They offer low prices for a fantastic product.

"We bring live music; we bring people together to socialize, have fun, laugh, and destress. That's our whole goal."

The upcoming shows will feature Tim Isberg in October and the Traveling Mabels in November.
