Your Strathmore Wheatland Kings are back in action on the road this weekend.

After the last couple of weeks with two games each weekend, the guys are finally getting a bit of a break. They have one game against the Coaldale tomorrow.

“It's the third place, fourth place match up. Coaldale is in third place in the league and we are in fourth right now so we are chasing them a bit and we want to get them,” explained the general manager for the Kings, Lee Smith.

Coaldale is a tough team according to Smith but they are nothing that the Kings can’t handle.

“It's a small rink and they are a heavy team. They play really tough and so we expect a physical match-up. That's going to be the biggest challenge,” he continued.

Looking ahead in the season, the King's next home game is on Saturday, November 20 against the Lomond Lakers.

“It's almost become a must-win. We have to beat the teams that are below us.”

So far this season, Smith said that their goaltending has been top-notch, and he is happy with the growth that he has seen from their goaltenders this season.

If you get a chance to see the Kings in action, they all are looking a little different due to some hair growth.

“We've got a few of the guys on the team where the mustaches have come out for Movember and it's a little comical,” Smith chuckled.
