With over 6,400 Albertans testing positive for COVID-19, the province is reporting over 5,500 who have recovered.

As of Monday, May 18, 5,519 people have now recovered, with the new cases being reported across Alberta at only 39, reporting the current number of active cases at 1,038.

In the Calgary zone, one more person has passed away, which brings the total of deaths for the Calgary zone to 92. Of the reported 128 deaths across the province, 93 are residents in continuing care facilities.

With over 3,000 tests taking place in the past 48 hours, the province has currently tested 261,536 Albertans for COVID-19.

Wheatland County is reporting nine cases with two reporting as active and seven recovered, those details can be found on the Alberta Health Services website, as stated by Mayor Pat Fule for accurate numbers residents must look at the municipality map and select Wheatland County.

On Sunday, the Canadian total of recovered cases has passed the 50 per cent mark of the reported 77,334 cases.
