On Monday, January 28, there was a school bus crash south of High River. The crash has the province reviewing calls to make seat belts on school buses mandatory.

Brian Mason, Minister of Transportation said this issue will be given a serious look.

"Yes, we are. You know the existing wisdom and with respect to that and the study that Transport Canada has based its current policy on, it needs to be reviewed. There has been a federal task force that has been established, including the provinces to examine that." Mason said.

The crash on Monday sent three people to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
