During a routine traffic stop on Sunday morning, a Chestermere Peace Officer removed an impaired driver from the road.

According to RCMP, the person had alcohol in their system and was driving with a suspended license, while also having multiple outstanding warrants.

"In addition, with the assistance of Chestermere RCMP, the driver was subject to Immediate Roadside Sanctions for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. The driver was released on appearance notices, and the vehicle was seized," RCMP stated in a post.

Strathmore Now has reached out to RCMP for comment on the story, but we have yet to hear back.
