Downhill skiers will probably be happy with the news that Lake Louise ski resort got some snow overnight and Thursday morning.

It's the first snowfall of the season and has skiers rejoicing on their social media pages.

However, the resort is not scheduled to open for the season until November 10.

If you're not a fan of the white stuff, no worries, there's no snow yet in the weather forecast for the High River, Okotoks region.

However, there was already a frost warning this week so snow could be right around the corner.
