Calgary police have arrested 23-year-old Strathmore resident Dalton Winnipeg-Darling in relation to a break-in that took place on November 27, when 2 suspects broke into a home in Cochrane and stole an RCMP badge and two vehicles.

Cochrane Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) took over the investigation and with assistance from the Calgary Police Service Auto Theft Team identified one of the male suspects involved in the break, enter and theft, another suspect has also been identified and is currently wanted on outstanding warrants. 

On December 13 Winnipeg-Darling was arrested by Calgary Police in a stolen vehicle. Cochrane CRU assisted in this investigation and was able to recover a stolen RCMP Badge.

After a judicial interim hearing, Winnipeg-Darling was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Cochrane Provincial court on Jan. 3, 2023.

The second suspect is 30-year-old Shinise Dunbar (30), a resident of Calgary, and has been charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 and a warrant has been issued for her arrest. Anyone with information on Dunbar’s location is asked to contact the Cochrane RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
