It will be a busy few days for the Strathmore Legion come February.

Strathmore Branch 10 is set to host their annual Alberta/NWT Command Cribbage Tournament on February 2 & 3.

80 players and spares from Legion branches across the Province and Northwest Territories will arrive in Strathmore to participate and compete for the opportunity to represent Alberta/NWT at the Dominion (National) Tournament at Legion Branch 33 in New Brunswick later this year.

Cribbage was invented in the early 17th century and was a popular pastime in the military.

Cribbage has long been a favorite game among members in Legions across Canada and has become quite competitive.

The annual Dominion Cribbage Championships were introduced in 1989, bringing together players from across the country.
