Our cold start to December has hit potentially dangerous levels, as we are under an extreme cold warning. With wind chill today will be sitting below -30°C.

Environment Canada warns frostbite can occur in just minutes if you're outside with exposed skin, so they advise staying indoors as much as possible and bundling up if you have to go out. To learn more about staying safe in the cold you can click here.

If you're outside and need to get inside to warm up, the Strathmore Overnight Shelter is open 24 hours, provided they have enough volunteer coverage.

Tomorrow is also looking to be under an extreme cold warning, as with wind chill we could once again be below -30°C. However, Sunday is looking to drastically warm up, as we have a high of -5°C forecasted with sunny conditions.
