The Heritage Junior Hockey League is hosting their 2018-19 All-Star game in Airdrie this year.

The game features 20 players from the Northern Division facing off against 20 players from the Southern Division.

Three players from the Wheatland Kings were able to make it to the Southern Division team this year. Brenden Moore as a defenceman, and Isaac Benoit and Cole Busslinger as forwards.

Moore felt it was a huge honor as these opportunities do not come around that often. He also mentioned to be selected felt like it was a pat on the back for their dedication. Moore says it's about testing your skills as a player and how you are compared to other players in the league.

Benoit says it's an honor to be selected. He said it is nice to know he can represent his team to show how him and his team are doing this year. Benoit described it as very exciting and as a lifetime experience.

Busslinger said it feels pretty sweet to get to play with all the best players in the league. He thinks it's pretty cool that the coaches decided he is one of the guys who gets to go. Busslinger said he feels it will be a pretty competitive and fast game.

The game will take place on Sunday January 6, 2019, at 1:30 p.m.
