The rain the day before got the U14B and U16B fastpitch provincial tournament off to a soggy start.  Lanky Johnson, member of Strathmore Thunder Fastpitch was adding absorbent material to the diamonds, so they were fit to play on, but as the weekend progressed the weather got better.  The tournament saw Strathmore play host to 20 teams over the three-day event.  Facing strong competition the Strathmore U14B team won two games and lost two games, which put them out of the semifinals The U16B team also faced tough competition and was unable to get to semifinals.

The U12B team attended provincials in Edmonton last weekend..  There they won two and lost two as well. 

In Strathmore, Calgary SBR won gold for the U14B division, and Elnora Eagles won the gold for the U16B division.
