A new project from the Town of Strathmore is saying goodbye to aging trees along Maplewood Drive.

The project is hoping to boost waterline capacity as trees are being cut down and will be available for pick up on a first come, first served basis.

The town is planning to connect watermains along Centennial Drive and upgrade the existing watermain on Maplewood Drive in 2025.

Staff say this will help boost waterline capacity, which will ensure current service levels and adequate fire flows.

Residents can pick up the cord wood and trunks stacked along the west side for their own use.
