The Wheatland Kings didn't come home with a win this past weekend.

The local Junior B team had a 5-1 loss to the Cochrane Generals on Friday (Oct. 27) and a 4-2 loss against the Coaldale Copperheads on Sunday.

Wheatland Kings General Manager, Lee Smith, said that the team is making some changes.

"We're looking at bringing in some new bodies just to see if that will help and kind of go from there. I think that we just need to get back to the basics."

When the Kings took on Coaldale they were missing quite a few players due to injury, suspension, and being away from the team.

"We played with a short line-up and that didn't help us at all," said Smith.

The team hopes to be at full strength soon.

"We're waiting for a couple of guys to get off the injury reserve. They've been on it all year. That'll help us once we get there."

The Kings are now 6-4-2 on the season.

The Wheatland Kings will take on the Okotoks Bisons this Friday in Okotoks and then they will face the Medicine Hat Cubs this Saturday at home at 8 p.m.
