Blue Logo Means Canadian Milk

Parmalat will join businesses like Tim Hortons and Dairy Queen in using the Dairy Farmers of Canada logo.

The company has committed to putting the blue cow logo on Lactantia and Beatrice milk and cream products.

Many consumers are wanting to make sure they're buying Canadian dairy after the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement was announced.

CPTPP Could Mean Higher Wheat Prices For Farmers

Canadian farmers are welcoming the passage of a Bill which will implement a trade deal with the Asia-Pacific market.

The Alberta Wheat Commission says, increased wheat exports through the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) could mean more money for farmers as early as next spring.

Harvest Sample Program Deadline Extended

With the harvest delays, the Canadian Grain Commission has extended the deadline for their Harvest Sample Program. 

Through the program, farmers get information back on the crop quality, grade and protein level of their grain sample which they can use in marketing their grain.

Producers who want to take part have until November 30, 2018 to register online, with a deadline of December 31, 2018 to submit crop samples.
