Teenagers interested in a future career in fire and emergency services can sign up for a few upcoming events.

The Chestermere Fire Department is offering multiple camps for teens ranging in age from 14 to 18 years old.

Camp participants will have the option of learning to scale ladders, take part in role-playing simulations and scenarios, and learn first-hand about emergency strategies and tactics.

According to staff with the city, the Explorer Firecamp is now filled, but space is still available for young women in the Ember Firecamp.

The camps will be held at the Chestermere Fire Station at 156 East Chestermere Drive.
