On Monday the CEO of Fortis Alberta announced the company is committed to keeping the lights on during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As the covid19 pandemic continues to evolve in Alberta and around the world, Fortis Alberta is taking the necessary actions and precautions to protect the health and well being of your employees and continue to provide electricity service to our customers,” says President and CEO Mike Mosher.

“We recognize these are challenging times,” he said.

“We are committed to keeping the lights on for you our customers,” said Mosher.

He explained early this month they implemented a business continuity plan and they remain accessible to customers by phone at 310-WIRE and through the mobile app where people can view details of outages and report outages online.

“With the Alberta government’s recent announcement to provide relief to eligible Albertans by deferring electricity and gas charges for up to 90 days, Fortis Alberta is committed to working with stakeholders and retail partners to ensure this option is available to customers quickly and efficiently,” said Mosher.
