The Strathmore Family Centre Arena will host free weekly public skating events with the first session on November 20, thanks to a community investment from the UFA!

Residents will be able to enjoy a full season of free public skates on Sundays,  Mayor Pat Fule is thrilled to see this opportunity be made available "Community wellness is one of Council’s strategic priorities. Working with partners like UFA who support this programming benefits families in Strathmore, Wheatland County, and Siksika Nation. Free programming is important during times of high inflation. The Town of Strathmore is grateful to UFA for their financial support.”

Sunday Public Skates have been scheduled through the 2022 – 2023 season and the free skating will take place each week, with the exception of a few tournament dates.

“Having a weekly time for skating gives families something to build a schedule around it can really become a regular event. Making it free helps to ensure we’re supporting all families.” Said Family Centre Manager Craig Dilts.
