Gleichen RCMP are asking residents in the Map 8 area of the Hamlet to stay indoors.

Police say to lock your homes and stay away from windows while officers are in the area.

According to RCMP they are asking the public to not post any pictures or information on police whereabouts while officers are there.

We will provide you with an update when it becomes available.

UPDATE: RCMP have now arrested a person and the shelter in place order is now over.

Police say more details will be released once more information becomes available.
