There is quite a buzz in the fields lately as many area farmers are working hard at harvest.

Fourth-generation farmer, Cole Mccallum, of Circle Three Farms near Standard says things have been operating smoothly.

"Generally, the harvest has been pretty good, we were the first ones in the field in our area this year, which is new. Our peas were ready before anybody else's."

While COVID-19 has effected everyone's day-to-day life, Mccallum said he hasn't noticed much difference in the fields.

"It is pretty normal, you go to the (grain) elevators and you can't go in anymore. Other than that it has been pretty average."

Circle Tree Farm has three different kinds of produce to harvest, and Mccallum was weary to say when things will wrap up, but he hopes the good weather will continue.

"We do wheat, canola, and peas. It has been pretty good, no hail, can't really complain about that. Between all this rain and this heat, it has been a pretty good mixture, I'd say."

Now that harvest is in full swing, please watch out for farm equipment on the road!
