Due to the recent rise in temperatures, ice rinks and lake ice in Chestermere are no longer suitable for recreational activities.
“Warmer weather can weaken the ice, putting safety at risk. Please remember to talk to your children about the importance of ice safety!” said The City of Chestermere in a social media post.
Back in February, officials from the Town of Strathmore announced that all ice in Strathmore was no longer safe to use and closed down the Lions Regional Outdoor Rink for the season.
