A staple of Strathmore summer fun is opening again now that COVID-19 regulations have eased.

Deana Connington, Parks Supervisor at the Town of Strathmore shares details on the changes made over the past year.

“The Lions Splash Park is a hit every summer! The town has invested in a new pumphouse and a rubberized pad over the past few years. These investments mean that the park is better than ever.”

The park will be open from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. every day depending on the weather. If there is a closure the town of Strathmore will post about it on its social media channels.

Connington also clarifies some rules for attendants

“Consuming alcohol, and smoking or vaping isn’t allowed in the Lions Splash Park. Our goal is to welcome the public into safe, clean facilities. We’re grateful that the public helps to care for this facility by putting garbage into the bins and alerting staff to broken glass or dangerous objects. We aren’t stationing a staff member on-site, but our CCF forms at Strathmore.ca/question are a quick way to submit a service request.”

With summer right around the corner and things returning to‘normal’, the Lions Splash Park and the Town of Strathmore are excited to bring back this staple of community engagement and outdoor recreation.
