Following a dump of snow last night (Jan 17), snow removal crews are working hard to ensure the highways are clear for your commute.

According to AMA Road Reports, the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) between Strathmore and Calgary is bare and dry.

Highway 817 between Trans-Canada and Highway 901 is also clear and safe to drive on.

Heading north towards Beiseker, Highway 9 between the junction of Highway 1 and the junction at Highway 564 is clear.

The following highways are still partially covered in snow, and it is recommended to use extra caution while driving:

  • Highway 791 from the junction of Highway 1 to the junction of Highway 22X
  • Highway 24 from Bow River to the junction at Highway 1
  • Highway 21 from the junction at Highway 564 to the junction at Highway 9
