Wheatland County is looking for community members to be a part of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB).

The County is actively searching for individuals residing in Division 2, Division 6, and Division 7 to participate as members of the SDAB. If you reside outside these specific Divisions but are interested in contributing, Wheatland County encourages you to submit your application for consideration.

The SDAB deals with subdivision and development appeals by the provisions of the Municipal Government Act; and shall exercise any other powers, duties, and functions as assigned by Wheatland County bylaws or policies.

Members of the SDAB serve a three-year term and meet as necessary during the day or evening.

"Following your appointment to the Board, SDAB members must successfully complete online training provided by the Land & Property Rights Tribunal.  Members will be financially compensated for their training as well as attendance for scheduled appeal hearings," Wheatland County explained on their website.

For additional information, please contact the Wheatland County Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Clerk, Michelle Van Haarlem, at (403) 361-2000 and letters of interest can be forwarded to sdab@wheatlandcounty.ca.
