The driver who is charged with the first-degree murder of Calgary Police Officer, Sgt. Andrew Harnett will hear the verdict in his case on Thursday November 10.

The accused, whose name is under a publication ban due to having been under the age of 18 when the alleged offence occurred, previously testified that he was in fear for his life the night Sgt. Harnett stopped the car he was driving during a routine traffic stop. 

The co-accused in the case, Amir Abdulrahman, who was the passenger in the car at the time of the incident was previously sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter.
