You're favourite rodeo events for the kids will be making their return to the Strathmore Stampede.  This month, registration will be open for Mutton Bustin', Wild Pony Racing, and Running with the Rams.

Events Coordinator with the Strathmore Ag Society Kate Dubois is excited to see these events come back again this year.

"It's just so fun to watch the little ones participate in this, they get to be in front of a large crowd with people cheering them on from everywhere. It’s very unique for these children to get to be involved in this, to start enjoying rodeo and partaking in these types of events as they get older."

Mutton Bustin' registration opens April 13 and the event is for kids four to six years old at the time of the event.

The very popular Wild Pony Racing, which is for kids 8 to 12 years old at the time of the event will open registration on April 20. Running With The Rams for kids five to seven years will open its registration a week later on April 27.

For these events, Dubois explained the availability the kids will need to participate, "For Mutton Bustin & Running with the Ram you just need to be available Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.  For Wild Pony, you have to be available all three days and have your team set to go prior to registration."

All registrations must be completed online by selecting the news tab at strathmorestampede.com and are on a first come first serve basis.
