Have you always dreamed of seeing yourself on the big screen? On November 1, you may have your chance to be the lead role in "Red Pine City", which will be filmed and produced by Factory Film Studio and Hot Shots Films!

Factory Film Studio has a catalogue of more than 130 feature titles and TV series, and has recently relocated their operations to Edmonton. Working with Edmonton-based production company Hot Shots Films, they'll be bringing their first collaborative Albertan feature film "Red Pine City".

The movie is looking for its lead actress for the role of Kate, who is a charming and talented country musician in her mid-30s. She finds herself stuck in the world of bar gigs, and considers packing it in, until her agent sets her up with a lucrative gig in Red Pine City. From there, she teams up with a reluctant enforcer to remove the scourge of a local mobster.

If you think you can bring the role of Kate to life, casting is on November 1 from 10:00-2:00 PM at the Orange Hub (10045 156 St NW Edmonton) in Edmonton. Filming will take place from November 7-26, and Kate's actress will be needed the entire time.

While Edmonton is a bit of a drive away, it could be a great opportunity to get yourself on the big screen and work with two of the larger Canadian production companies. The casting call even hints at some big names being on the project, although that hasn't been announced yet.

If you're considering auditioning, bring a resume and headshot with you. If you don't have one, the press release says to just bring a good attitude!
