For the month of June, the Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Coffee Connections event at Royal LePage Benchmark.

The initiative is meant to get business owners of Strathmore in one spot so they can network and talk about ideas they have to grow.

"They're growing in momentum, growing in popularity. The word is getting out," explained Michelle Bissett, Board Chair for the SWCC.

Bissett said that these month's meetups are all about connection.

"It's an opportunity for businesses and people to network with each other, talk about what they do, and find the resources on what's working well for others and how they can maybe help and influence their own."

According to Bissett, there are many wins that she hears about, and they all circle back to connections over coffee.

"You hear other businesses saying that because I went to the coffee connection, I could connect with this other business, which helped my business in this way. We get the type of feedback all of the time."

Bissett explains that it is so positive and encouraging for the chamber to hear feedback like this.

"Businesses should join the chamber because that's what we're trying to promote. We are here to help your business."

The next Coffee Connections event will be held at Willow Tree Laser and Esthetics on July 17.
