Canada Day is quickly approaching, and celebrations will be happening across the country and in Chestermere as well.

The city will be hosting events throughout the day to celebrate Canada turning 157-years-old.

The following is the schedule for the upcoming event:

  • 9 a.m. Free pancake breakfast.
  • 10 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Live entertainment at the Pavillion Stage. 
  • 11 a.m. Carnival for kids at Heart Games
  • 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wagon Rides
  • 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Trading Post Market
  • 1 p.m. Birthday cake in the park
  • 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. Beer Garden
  • 10:30 p.m. Fireworks on the north side of the lake

To help ring in Canada's birthday we will see many performers hitting the stage.

Performers include Jody the Magician, Young Bhangra, The Blenders, Cream and Sugar Band, Jeff Catto, Lauren Mayell, and Michela Sheedy. 

Staff with the city are encouraging residents to bring sunscreen, bug spray, lawn chairs, blankets, and sweaters.

No alcohol or glass bottles are permitted within the event.
