National Indigenous Peoples Day will be hosted by the Town of Strathmore on June 21.
The event will be located at the Ampitheatre in Kinsmen Park from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Festivities will honour the heritage and cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in the town.
A few of the activities include:
- Indigenous market
- Powwow demonstrations
- Métis performances
- Hand games
- Speeches
- Raising of Treaty 7 flag along with honour song
Indigenous vendors will also be set up at the Farmers Market during the same time.
