The Dinosaur Downs Speedway is kicking it into full gear this year in Drumheller.

The speedway will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

There are multiples dates set up for you to go:

  • June 29-July 1
  • August 10-11
  • August 31-September 1

Wendy Fitzpatrick, manager of the event says there is going to be tons of fun and lots of cool cars.

"We have everything from mini stocks to claimer cars to hobby stock to IMCA modified sprint cars, and legend cars. We have it all here".

There is a small price for spectators to get in.

"For spectators there is a fee of $15.00 for adults and then for seniors and students 7 to 17 I believe is $10" Fitzpatrick said. 

Fitzpatrick shares what she loves most about the event.

"I love watching the races. I love watching the fans reactions. I love the drivers and kid's reactions to each other. I love everything about it."

They will also be hosting a demolition derby August 17.

The event is run mostly by volunteers.
