The Strathmore Agricultural Grounds were filled with livestock and rodeo contestants once again a couple of weekends ago.

Duo Jessie Ferguson & Vane Ferguson took home the buckle for Team Roping.

These contestants were a little bit younger than what the grounds are used to as the Alberta High School Rodeo Association was in town. The association was granted a special exemption from Alberta Health Services and all COVID-19 protocols were followed.

“The Strathmore High School Rodeo went great and we're already looking forward to next year,” explained Office Manager for the Strathmore and District Agricultural Society, Tessa Dorosh.

The results are in for the rodeo and Colton Broderson took home the title for Saddle Bronc. Mckinley Wall was the top competitor in Poles, Tie Down Roping went to Cole Blades, and Breakaway competitor Shelby Smith took home the gold in her category.

Ty Mackenzie was Steer Wrestling champion, Kayce Liptak was the fastest in Barrel Racing and duo Jesse and Vane Ferguson took home the Team Roping title. Goat Tying also went to Brette Tulley.

Congratulations to all of the winners!
