Strathmore Stampede fans can expect some big changes to the infield in 2024.

General Manager of the Strathmore Ag Society Ryan Schmidt explained the changes coming will bring a brand new way for people to enjoy the Strathmore Stampede.

"The Strathmore and District Agricultural Society is proud to make everyone aware that we are pursuing a brand new capital project on the grounds. We're doing a brand new announcers booth with 12 infield suites over the bucking chutes,  offering a brand new experience for people to take in and we're really excited about it."

These suites will ultimately help the growth of this major stop on the rodeo circuit, which Schmidt says will mean a lot to the bottom line of the event.

"It's really important because it's providing a level of accommodation that we've never had at the Strathmore Stampede before. We've got our current private suites which provide a great authentic experience; these ones are about a luxury suite that you can use to entertain guests and clients for your company. It's really an opportunity for you to promote your business through the Strathmore Stampede and at the same time take part in what we believe is the best rodeo experience that you can have in Canada right here in Strathmore."

The new suites that will replace the current announcer's booth will be in addition to the current suites in the grandstand which Schmidt said will still be available for use at the Stampede and other events that will be held at the grounds.

The newer suites can be booked now and Schmidt stated the Ag Society is looking to have these contracted out prior to the beginning of construction which is set for later this year.

"We're going to be starting construction on these in October and they will be ready for the 2024 rodeo, and if you're interested in one of them, you just call the office and we'll sit down, tell you all about them, and if you're interested, get you signed up."

The last major development the grounds had was during the construction of the grandstand over 20 years ago and Schmidt feels the addition of these new suites will take the Stampede to that next level.
